What does everyone think of those scientist's finding particles that travel faster than the speed of light? Any comment?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Its not fully proved yet may turn out to be false.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is fully proven! they did the experiments 15 thousand times.

Agree0 Disagree1

Aren't they called Tacions(spelling), supposed to travel faster than light. Problem is they would be hard to see, as you know when you approach the speed of light, time slows down. this being the case our world actually starts moving through time faster than the Tacion, therefore they will vanish.........I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see now science is saying the speed of light is not quite consant , which will mean we really know very little about the working of the universe , very interesting.............lfc

Has anyone actually seen star trek.... Duh!!. lol only joking. i personally think a lot of physicists have got there theories and equations wrong, there is a lot more to space, time and light and what affects it and how it works under different circumstances together and separately. We do not have the tech to understand how light, gravity and space work in the public domain, although i do think it will eventually come out in my life time (I'm 27) as oil will run out in next 20 - 30 years, and also i think it's a little bit wierd how batteries haven't evolved as much as i though they would in the fact they have pretty much stayed the same for a number of years especially for cars, they have been doing this for a long time and still haven't figured it out. :s
science is progressed at a rate that the powers that be want it to. (w**kers)

p.s i have had a few beers tonight so i apologise now if it doesn't make sense {Ed001's Note - sorry I struggle with this, I keep reading this nonsense everywhere about oil running out and I just don't understand it for a number of reasons. For one, as long ago as WW2, the Germans perfected synthetic oil, which was of a higher standard than refined crude oil. Secondly, it is possible to create fuel oil from crops, for instance rapeseed oil, which is why so much of it was initially planted back during a previous oil crisis. We could even refine standard vegetable oil, or animal fats and oils, to be used as a fuel oil to replace crude oil. All this talk of oil running out is purely a mechanism to make more money, as each time they tell us it is running out they up the price.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I did say i have had a few beers ed. so sorry about the ranting, i'm just gonna stop now and have a read tomoz when i am sober and probs cringe. lol. i just think that there arre lots of thing we still dont know about types of particles, how they move, react than we think we do that is out in the public domain. i think the military do from alien tech but the rest is just drunken ranting, it is saturday night after all. so sorry once again ed
huddz red {Ed001's Note - it's fine mate, the oil thing is one of my pet hates is all, I hear it all the time from people who should know better. Anyone who is a student of WW2 history, for instance, should know the sheer madness of claims of oil running out. Any farmer should also know it is complete nonsense.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Hi ed the conspiracy is that oil is running out to justify the high cost of it. And i must agree that science/technology has been sacrificed so that the oil barons can squeeze us for as much money as possible and also the governments which make so much revenue through the tax raised through the cost of oil etc. Not ranting i believe or having a go ed your thoughts please {Ed001's Note - I fully agree with you mate, it is a scandal that we are being conned by people who have already made billions from us. It is clearly a ploy to up the prices, make people panic that something is in short supply and they will pay much more. The same principle applies to all limited edition prints etc.}

Hello folks, anyone got any idea of what the Bloop is?

It appears to be neither man made or naturally occurring phenomena, check out the link please.

Regards, Bep Kororoti.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I would suggest 1 of 4 things in order of what i believe are most likely;

1) An secret military vehicle in testing.

2) Some form of animal which is yet to be discovered.

3) A fault in the machinery.

4) A hoax.

My personal belief would be an unknown animal, although It's likely to be military or government related.

The Moon.

Agree0 Disagree1

Ah, back to my territory....cryptozoology! Sadly, I'm pretty convinced the bloop came from something like an underwater volcano or vents or something totally non-animal.

Although there is an account out there, can't remember the details, of a guy who said he was working on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico maybe in the 70s (this is all guesswork, I can't remember the exact details apart from the following.....)

....basically, he claims that he and his co-workers regularly saw things they named 'living firehoses', which they said were around 50ft or longer, and very thin for their length and size.

He also reported something called the 'living firehose eater' which he vaguely described as being so big, he couldn't get a full look at it. He said it was as big to him, as he would be to an ant, and lived off the firehose creatures.

The only description he could give was that the pallor and texture of its skin was like a sea anemone and it was ridiculously big.

Could this be the blooop?? Probably not, but I like to dream!

Does 2 + 2 = 4 ?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Nope, 2 + 2 = 2 x 2

That is the answer.

Agree2 Disagree0

2 + 2 can mean anything.

Agree1 Disagree0

Read 1984 George Orwell mate.

In quantum field theory, the vacuum state (also called the vacuum) is the quantum state with the lowest possible energy. Generally, it contains no physical particles. Zero-point field is sometimes used as a synonym for the vacuum state of an individual quantized field.

According to present-day understanding of what is called the vacuum state or the quantum vacuum, it is "by no means a simple empty space",[1] and again: "it is a mistake to think of any physical vacuum as some absolutely empty void."[2] According to quantum mechanics, the vacuum state is not truly empty but instead contains fleeting electromagnetic waves and particles that pop into and out of existence

Is this what happened in the the big bang on a bigger stage or is that just me
