anyone else watching blackout on bbc1 spud from trainspotting just gave an interesting speech on how pure capitalism has arrived and in the future all public institutions will be publicly funded but privately owned and its already happening in america and cites new orleans after katrina as an example. Does anyone know if thats true with new orleans? And thoughts on the wider implications. I know its tv but it does sound like the sort of thing the devious so and so's are probably planning.

{Ed033's Note - That's right publicly funded "privately" owned giant corporations running the world it's already happening and that's the future until enough people wake up, which won't be anytime soon.

Yes Governments and councils pay money for say a Tescos to come in and then they saturate the market and run little businesses into the ground.
No small businesses get the tax breaks and public money spent to help them and these companies dont need the help but have enough money for backpockets to grease the wheels.

F"ck Conspiracy its corruption that is everywhere at least in a conspiracy they try to hide it,instead these blatant a******s just know they dont need to.

yo ed, whats i spose a conspiracy about one of uefas blokes got paid a million euros into his daughters account from barcelona fc or something? any idea cheers BLUEBOY1 {Ed001's Note - this was a while ago. I would suggest having a look at the Change FIFA site, they have many more stories regarding the underhand dealings at FIFA.}

It was just after the CL final that Barca won the previous year.
There is a theory that it's payment(s) to sway referees decisions and I think would explain alot over the last few years, remember the Chelsea game, penalty claims, loads of added time? Van Persie getting sent off when Arsenal got a foothold in the game at the Camp Nou?

I think the whole thing has a stench about it. i dont think it has done FIFA & UEFA any harm sponsorship wise to have a very high publicity stand-out team/machine at the time carrying a Unicef logo (turning down potential mega money shirt sponsorship money for hopefully raising the profile of the club amongst children). A massive risk financially which I believe you would only embark on if you knew you would be successful.

What was the deal with Messis steroid bodygrowth HRH hormones that should have been investigated.Wasnt something up with that ed or was this just something I heard.

Kopping a feel {Ed001's Note - it is a very grey area mate, he had the HGH, but it was deemed to be ok as it was for medical purposes.}

Don't get me started on that.....as far as I'm aware Messi should of encountered a very long ban somewhere including Barca as they administered the HGH.
They took Messi as an outstanding talent from Argentina who happened to be small, there are other small players like Giovinco who could do with bulking up but it would be illegal in the game if taken currently or to of taken HGH in the past when younger as I understand it.

But going back to what I believe we're payments to sway referees, I think I've witnessed along with everyone else over the last few seasons how any opposition teams who tried to get close to or tackle this Barca (albeit they do have great players) side were always penalised throughout matches and several opposition players sent off for incredibly harsh reasons making Barca almost a non-contact team.
What do you think ed/anyone?
