Hi everyone, seen a post addressed to me and tried to reply, but window closed as I was pressing send text, so I'm reposting my reply here. Any reply/rebuttal is more than welcomed!

Hi, just seen your post.
I'm in no way saying that Obama is amazing or anything of the sort, but he is miles better equipped to run the country than Romney. Obama has made a lot of mistakes, but come, who could have cleaned up Bush's mess in just 4 years? Romney is a known homophobe (ridiculous in this day and age) and not mentioned any numbers on he'll fix Americas economy, just rambling on about a 5 point plan (which he won't discuss) and promises that he knows how to create jobs (again not getting any further detailed than that) and his mental idea of giving the military an extra 2 trillion dollars on their budget (that the military hasn't even indicated they need) whilst trying to reduce the deficit. So you can see where I'm coming from with my distrust of Romney. Look, Romney is a nice guy, and some of the stuff he supports, I support. He also seems sincere in his ideas, but for me, he's just not the right guy. Plus, since when was a republican ever a good idea? The final nail in the coffin for me is that he is a Mormon. I have no problem with most religions, but how can anyone of sound mind believe in the joseph smith tale. Joseph smith was a convicted fraudster/charltan, so anyone who believes a word this maniac said, must really be either unhinged or incredibly stupid!

Thanks for the post, love a good topic on here!

Peace

Jay

Hey Jay,
What strikes me is that you think Obama or Romney are the ones who make the decisions, and the ones who make their agendas for america to move forward, or so it seems. Surley the people/corporations who are literally funding and paying their salary are the ones who "kindly ask" for this and that to be signed off on, and hit the population and economy, benefiting their cause... to me its just a power struggle to see who is more popular (has the biggest weiner) and can make the most money, and not about who is better for the people.. just an outside view either accurate or not ?

does anyone have any information on that laek they found in the antartic a few months a ago - it has all gone very quiet. I remember reading that there was a global race to get to it first - the Russian's

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I didn't finish sorry. The Russian's were there first. The lake was called Vostok or something and is meant to be over 2000 years old and contain life forms never seen before`

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea they found no life at all as far as i remember

Whats everyones thoughts on Scotland and their vote for Independence.

Rohan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

As a Scot, I think the idea of going independent is great but the SNP have got their timing all wrong. the economy is very unpredictable at this given moment in time, so the thought of going independent is economical suicide. bring the notion back in 10 years or so and we will go on from there.

Aarron

Agree3 Disagree0

Please no . Salmond is in love with himself . All he wants is to be a celebrity . He would go to the opening of an envelope . I come from Glasgow where the SNP have no interest whatsoever . I don't think it will ever happen , that's why Salmond wants to give votes to 16 yr olds . Older people IMO would not want change ........DH

Agree2 Disagree0

If you want independence go now, never mind ten years down the line...

Agree1 Disagree4

My view on this is simple, if the scots/irish/welsh want independence and if the majority want it,go for it,i wish liverpool could get independence as i think scousers have more in common with our Celtic brothers and sisters, that's my belief anyway.
frankyscouse

Sorry frank but you explain how liverpool with celtic people ?.. Im just asking because im a bit confused and taking a stab at you..

Irish Red Jr

Agree2 Disagree1

I don't mean Celtic footy club i mean Celts, Irish/Scots/welsh bloodlines, maybe its because Liverpool is 80 per cent Irish descent so i have more in common with celts.
frankyscouse

Agree1 Disagree1

Independence is only possible if we leave the E.U too get out them both i say

Agree1 Disagree0

The thing is i understand that if independence were gained Salmon wants to join the Euro. So you'd get independece then hand it straight back over to Brussels who lts face it are worse than London.

Agree1 Disagree0

Most Scots I've met have all moaned on about how much crap we (English) force on them, how unfairly they're treated an whatever else they feel bitter about. If Scotland wants their independence then sound, go for it. Scotland won't be independent for long their economy is in a worse situation than ours.

Jay from Glasgow. I've never watched Fox so wouldn't know what they are saying. I also think Romney is a buffoon. But Obama has been a total failure as president. He'll go down as a one hit failure like Carter and Bush sr. His foreign policy has been a mess. He spent most of his first few months upsetting his closet ally. He's made a mess of Iran. His surge in Afghanistan hasn't worked. Domestically he's been as bad. The floating voters that he gained last time he's alienated with his botched health care. The economy all he's done is take the people who messed up the financial system in the private sector and given them jobs in the public sector. The very people who broke it are now supposed to fix it. Watch the Matt Damon narrated documentary Inside Job. Obama won last time as the republicans picked an old crock and a nutjob as the ticket, and the novelty factor as well. This time that wont win him it. It says how bad a job he's been doing when nutjob Palin starts taking the mickey. Overall Obama has been a weak and indecisive president who's been out his depth. Look at the midterms when he was struggling there and had to wheel out the fake bin laden death for a boost.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Still rather have him than that homophobic door knocker that is Romney, you seem to have forgotten about Bin Ladens death, that alone would make him a success to te Americans
