the largest solar flare since 2005 but didn't we have all these "warnings" back then and nowt happened? Seems all a bit millennium bug to me.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Solar flares happen all the time . Its scaremongering to sell news . This particular one is the equivalent of a mouse , standing 40ft away and farting and the news (esp FOX News) telling us to expect a hurricane .

Its a load of tosh

can someone correct me if i am wrong or confirm if i am right but wasn't oil found in uganda fairly recently like about five years ago or something? Might explain the sudden interest in the place.

The Americans are already there!

Hi Ed
I've just been reading on the coronal mass ejection that occurred. This will increase the chances of Aurora Borealis dependent on weather conditions.
I was thinking about the supposed hole in the top of the planet and the no fly zone around the North Pole. Scientists tell us that Aurora Borealis is caused by radioactive particles reacting in the atmosphere, but as you know what we're told/taught isn't always the truth.
Have you come across any conspiracy that the Aurora Borealis is something different, ie UFO related, weapons testing?

{Ed033's Note - No, I haven't come across any info saying the Aurora Borealis is something different. You probably know the following: Google Earth cover up what is at the north and south pole with a block of white colour. Google Sky do the same with certain areas of space using blocks of black colour. There is a magnetic anomaly in Antarctica and the bases in Antartica are very secretive in what they actually do.}

Yes i have heard it that both the Aurora Borealis and Australis come from inside the earth. There is supposed satelite imagery showing Australis coming out of the huge volcano in Antarctica.
One theory i've heard is that it is laser beams, i'd imagine it would be to do with holography and lasers if that were the case.
For what purpose though i do not know, although it would make sense theoretically that the beams could be concentrated.
A youtube search should find the satelite video.
Doesn't sound that far-fetched to the ol' Pea, or to put it another way for the comedians here - it is not beyond the realms of possibility.

better post this now incase the solar storm does bring any interference with the power and will take some pics if as predicted it will light up the sky in the north of england.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Nothing in the sky here.
frankyscouse {Ed001's Note - my net was crashing constantly this morning, I assume because of that.}

What time was that edd?only just came online now?.
frankyscouse {Ed001's Note - about this time yesterday, I was trying to talk on Skype while working and it just kept throwing me offline. It made it really hard to edit when the reply I had spent ten minutes typing just vanished!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure mate my internet was ok i think, either way deffo no weird coulors in the sky last night, which of sort of brings me on to my next point, since my eyes have been opened by this site and things i have read and watched threw the years, its hard to belive anything u read even if it is the truth, i dont want to be one of those people who believe anything that comes out.
frankyscouse {Ed001's Note - that is why we have the ability to think, so we can make up our own minds. In any story there are always at least 3 sides to it anyway!}

Hi ed/s and others :)

So this #StopKony is picking up a lot of pace over the past couple of days and i just wanted your take on it. It's not a conventional conspiracy theory, but i've read something that puts the campaign into perspective. It's this:

Basically shows how they spend only a bit of what donations they receive and other stuff like fund the Ugandan army, who themselves kill & rape (allegedly).

Ed/s and some others may be more informed on this topic as you all seem a bright bunch.. What's your take on it?

Cheers, Stark. {Ed001's Note - this is the big problem with charities, they have a real struggle ensuring their money goes to those who deserve and need it. It is not at all unusual for local warlords to steal food and money from the charities.}

So, Stop Kony, it's a nice sentiment and highlights a plight little known, but what happens when they stop him/kill him/capture him is that someone else comes along and takes his place.
The real issue is the inter-tribal fueding within the country and within Africa itself. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if it's caused deliberately by the "white man" to either cull the African population or stop them from collborating against them.
