Been looking at a lot of stuff recently about the flat earth theory and was wondering what people's thoughts are?

is it flat, sphere or are we living in a simulated world?

does science confirm that its spherical and impossible to be flat or is the science created to give the answers that keeps us in that way of thinking?

has anyone ever get that feeling/ idea that somethings just are not or could not be happening and then your mind just re corrects?

may sound like i'm mad lol but just a few thoughts recently.

{Ed033's Note - It's most likely oval/spherical, rather than simulated and is not flat, imo.

yea i'm thinking more that way tbh, but its intriguing to think that there is a theory of a flat earth or how it would be possible.

{Ed033's Note - There is a theory that the 'Flat Earth' theory is a Pentagon psy-op to see whether people are stupid enough to believe it.

There's a direct flight from Santiago in Chile to Sydney in Australia that takes just under 13 hours. On a flat earth these are two cities are on opposite sides on the disc approximately 28,000km apart (compared to to 11,300km on a globe) . For that flight to be possible on a flat earth the plane would have to fly far further than the published range of any commercial aircraft and reach speeds close to Mach 2, its route would also take it close to the North Pole instead of across the South Pacific. You can be pretty confident the world's not flat.

It's great fun reading the FAQ's on the flat earth society website. They're completely bonkers, but I love them anyway.

Stars are just like holes in a tent roof is a particular favourite, Rian lol
I'm quite open to all sorts of nonsense I readdon the internet at 2 o'clock in the morning but the flat earth stuff is miles out.
Don't they say that Antartica is the outer edge of earth but that the flat earth goes on indefinitely?
I look on things like the flat earth stuff as a distraction allowed to snowball to get people looking away from real issues and problems. And that's from someone that believes in Heaven and Hell. :-D.

Yes Antarctica goes on indefinitely by all accounts, and my favourite, "Gravity as a theory is False. Objects simply fall". It's comedy gold.

yes definitely a strange thing to think its flat and not a sphere/ globe
the experiment you talk about ed033 still makes me think its all a simulation.

also the theory the north pole has a huge hole in it as well does lead to the hollow earth theory. the 2am internet searches has fried my brain.

{Ed033's Note - yes there is the theory that there is a big hole at the top and bottom of the Earth 'globe'. Also that no commercial flights are allowed to fly over the top an the bottom of the 'globe'. In addition, google have covered the holes with a white colour within the google maps to make it look like snow.
