Yes I have been in an Aeroplane Ed. I've flown to America, Gambia, Sweden, Denmark, Australia and once travel is opened up properly I will be doing a lot more travelling.

Rian I'm not always right, but when it comes to astrophysics I am usually right simply because it's a hobby of mine. I have my own telescopes, I've made many visits to observatories and plan to see more around the world as part of my travelling.

You want conclusive evidence? Look up at night, take note of the constellations that you see. Fly to somewhere that is in the opposite hemisphere to where you current reside and you will see a new set of constellations. This would not be possible on a flat Earth as you would see the exact same constellations no matter where you go.

{Ed033's Note - Here it is then, the concrete [full of holes] proof of the Globe. This seems to be the last Globe proof that the Globers all cling to and think there's no explanation for seeing different Constellations if you're in different parts of the World.

I'm going to give some basic info to explain why we see different Constellations in different parts of the World, and then below is a more in depth, but short video explaining how it is. After watching the video, it shows anyone that the Globers now have nothing to cling to as Globe proof.

So, if you are standing on a beach with the water in front of you and it's evening so the Sun is in front of you, then you see a line of light on the water from the Sun, directly to you. And if there are for instance 100 people to the left of you and 100 people to the right of you in a row [in a line] along the beach, each one of them will see a line of light on the water from the Sun, directly to them. Now none of them can see anybody eles's line of light and this is because we have our own personal relationship with the Sun of God :)

But it's not just the Sun, we have our own unique personal experience with everything on Earth that we see. This is because we can only see a limited distance and we see things in terms of perspective, or it might be better to say that we exist in a virtual personal viewing dome. In the Flat Earth Model, this is known as a Personal Atmospheric Dome or PAD. The PAD has a diameter of about 12,000 miles. [The below video explains this better.]

So what's important and can't be denied is that we have a limited viewing distance and because the Sky is so massive, we can only see a portion of the Sky at any one time [and we're not going to see the Stars/Constellations as they actual are, but see them based on our own unique PAD perspective.]

Doesn't it make perfect sense that if we are in England for example, we are going to see a different portion of the Sky and therefore different Constellations at night than compared with looking at the night Sky in say Australia.

So depending on where we are in the World and what direction we're looking in, because of our limited viewing distance and the Sky being so massive, we're going to see different Constellations at night.

hsf I think you cannot (or perhaps refuse to) differentiate between evidence and proof. Conclusive evidence is no more than a definite possibility. They're just words without any real value.

You have a very fixed view of the things generally. Your need for absolutes and certainties is very evident. If that's the kind of intellectual scaffolding you need to stay upright then best of luck to you.

No Rian not at all. Conclusive evidence is something which can not be contested. Hense the word "conclusive".

My view is fixed? Considering there are many subjects which I have a differing view to leading scientists (Such as the age of Human Civilisation), I'd hardly say I have a fixed view.

I am very open to being proven wrong. But the keyword here is 'proven', and none of the replies posted on here to counter anything I say (regarding the flat earth) has no evidence backing it. It's just some random guy posting about things that are against the laws of physics.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

You want to tell me the Earth is flat, when all of the science and mathematics point to a spherical Earth then I need extraordinary evidence. Not some random guy who claims to be a "scientist" but it turns out he's a "doctor" in alternative medicine. AKA woowoo rubbish that doesn't cure anyone.

Let me put it to you another way.

Say you needed life changing surgery, would you go to a Hospital or would you go to Bob down the pub who knows a bit about anatomy because he watches some medical dramas?

If your house starts to collapse at the foundations, would you go to a building contractor or would you go to Bob down the pub who's built a Brick BBQ in his back yard?

If your car has broken down, would you go to a mechanic or would you go to Bob down the pub, who talks about F1 Racing a lot?

Honestly, the trust that you put into these people who are nothing to do with the real subjects they go against, is beyond mind boggling. Why? These people are clearly idiots.

{Ed033's Note - Why do you even come on here?

There are at least 2 people offering huge amounts of money to anyone who can prove the Earth is a spinning Globe, but no one can and you failed to prove anything with your 'seeing different Constellations from different parts of the Earth' attempt.

But the keyword here is 'proven' - thank you.

You want to tell me the Earth is flat - I've never told anyone the earth is flat. Pay attention.

Thanks for all the Bob stories, I had a lovely nap. Normally I have to go to the boxing page for that.

I'm in the middle of building a 2.8km road, not once have we had to take into account the curvature of the earth for any excavation nor is it ever taken to account regardless of the length of the trench we would dig.

{Ed033's Note - Right, no one ever has to take into account the alleged curvature.

Isn't there a bridge which was built with curvature taken into account and it looks wrong on every level.

Think its this one Verrazano-Narrows Bridge:

{Ed033's Note - Thanks, never heard of it.

What you think about that picture hsf?
