Sorry if this has already been discussed. Was just wondering what people's opinions of Russell brand are? Obviously not him as a comedian but the work he's currently doing. Personally I think he's brilliant to listen to and seems genuine

GD

1.) I think brands heart in the right place and he is at the start of a journey, he is clever enough to know that if he does a david icke and tells everyone how he really feels then that's his msm days over, he is trying to use his publicty to get normal peoples struggles heard and I admire that, I think people calling him a shill is way off the mark and I think a lot of disinfo agents are all over brand to spread rumors.

2.) I posted this a while ago, if you go to talkconspiracy 3 on the tabs top left you can search for it there.

There are only a few replies though, and actually the subject was brought up more recently (by Frankie I think) but in a different thread that I can not find now.

In my opinion he is doing a lot of good, even if just with his support of issues like the housing estate in london and his agenda against big companies. It is also never a bad thing to have someone fancy that will tear into politicians because then at least some people will listen. He is fashionable and it will be hard for MSM etc to effectively quieten him down.

I think he has the potential to help people become active in claiming back power from the government. Beyond that who knows.

Id imagine he is criticized by some who would want him to go further and attempt to wake up the masses. He flirted quickly with the 9/11 theme recently, however I think he is skeptical about coming out in favour of such beliefs because its then a weapon to be used against him, discredit his ideas etc.

I have not read his book as I am away just now but hopefully will after xmas. He is very clever, articulate and has a sense of humour so I would imagine it is good. Have you read it?

3.) I haven't read the book. But the more I listen to him the more I want to read it. There was a poll in the s*n newspaper the other day and it's just a very blatant attempt at trying to discredit him and to get people not to listen. He's fired back at that with a video and he basically shows them for what they are. Why people read that paper is beyond me. But fair play to him he's not going away.

4.) Also what would you make of his sudden split from Katy Perry and his quick move back to the uk? He was doing quite well over in the U. S! Anyone think he's had a glimpse inside the inner circles and didn't like what he seen so got out?

5.) I watched a interview with brand on newsnight (not the paxman interview)were they were quizzing him about his book and the guy wanted him to name people he hates in corporations but brand could see the way this interview was going and he highlighted local housing issues and also his local fire station getting cuts.

the interviewer was out of his depth and then brings up 9/11 to shut up brand, again brand is cute enough to highlight the relationship between the bush family and bin lardens, watch the interview, also I watched this a week or so ago and I tend to read the comments below the youtube video, bbc newsnight have disabled any comments a few weeks ago and I have just checked again and its still disabled.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqsFp0J22Hc

6.) He replied to the sun vote in one of his trews. I think any poll in the sun can be binned straight away.

cant really comment on his split as I have zero idea what went on. Perhaps him changing as a person caused it.

Yes Frankie the interviewer there was shown up for what he is. Constantly changing the subject when brand gets going on an issue the 'bbc' doesn't want to talk about. bringing up 9/11 was a clear attempt to just get a 'conspiracy theory nut' headline out of the interview.

He is on question time I think on thursday?

7.) Katie perry thing does not really interest me, you could see brand getting animated with the tone and agenda of his questions, what I did find amusing was at the very end when the interviewer said to brand "you do not trust people" brand said "i trust people, I don't trust the media, like they shamefully used in the scottish yes or no vote" bbc feller buts in erm we have to go we have no more time ha

8.) I'm totally undecided about this man. He seems to bring attention to important matters that would normally be buried by the msm. Big respect to him for suing that paper and donating the money to the Hillsborough fund. But. the fact that he was romantically involved with Jemima Khan (maiden name Goldsmith) makes me wonder. Although he has been in the public eye for ages, he was never broaching the subjects he does now until after this relationship. Maybe I should stop being so sceptical!

9.) He's an attention seeking hypocritical prat, just my opinion

{Ed007's Note - Russell Brand is one of those people who seem to be famous for no apparant reason, I'm always wary of those sorts. First I heard of him was the carry-on with him and that other clownshoe Jonathan Ross phoning Andrew Sachs (??) and since then he seems to be everywhere without actually doing anything to warrant it. I don't follow much mind-numbing TV like Big Brother or X-Factor but my mrs does and he's never on anything on TV, the last radio DJ with his kind of popularity and fame.... well we all know how that turned out!
Who really is Russell Brand, why is he famous and why all of a sudden is he talking about all this and even more importantly, why should we listen to him and why listen now?
We all like to think we're too free-thinking to fall for fake celebrity/msm bullshit but isn't that exactly what's happening here, just because he is saying things lots of people on here and people into conspiracy theory/alternative news in general want to hear doesn't mean it's not still msm manipulated bullshit from a celebrity.
I'd trust Ed033 before I would trust Brand, how long before he's doing mini-Icke-like roadshows to get some earnings in.
Brand is in the same boat as wallopers like Bono, a man I actually despise after spending a fortune on U2 concerts, albums annd CDs, Geldof etc. just on a smaller scale. Why should we listen to Brand and not Bono, because Brand's telling you what YOU want to hear and Bono is telling you what TPTB want you to hear.
Never trust a celebrity unless it's Martine McCutcheon, you can trust her.}

10.) Ed07 I take it your a yoghurt fan

{Ed007's Note - (blush)

Seen someone post the other week about orgonite, think it was franky? Just wondering if you have any updates or idea how to use it or what to do with it? Cheers

GD

1.) I have the organite about a week now and funny enough was going to write a post about it, I bought a pyramid and a pendent, I asked the lady were I should put the pyramid and she told me not to think abut it and put it wherever I want, I have had the pendent on and certain things that I would be arguing or worrying about (family stuff) are not happening, I feel a lot more calm and relaxed, also I am sleeping a lot better, could it be the organite, who knows?

2.) Thanks for the update, Frankyscouser

3.) Cheers for the update franky. Think I'll be giving it a try.

4.) If you want the link from the lady I bought mine from good let me know.

Hey all, don't often post but any one have any idea why we don't hear about global warming any more? 5-10 years ago that's all that we would ever hear.

GD

{Ed001's Note - simple really, because it was simply a myth.}

1.) Ok thanks ed. so in your opinion is the climate not getting a lot warmer? And why would it be something that would be made up?

{Ed001's Note - the climate alters all the time, it is a natural process, but they wanted to frighten us into making changes that make big corporations more money. Did you know that in Roman times the extreme north of England (Northumberland) was so hot in summer that the Romans used to have it as a major producer of grapes? It is not hot enough in modern times to do so. It was always going to eventually heat up again, and the seas rise with it. It is a long process over hundreds or even thousands of years.}

2.) Oh I see. Yeah it makes sense what you say. I was watching a programme on extreme weather and it was going back hundreds of years and kind of suggesting it goes in cycles, so that's what made me ask the question. And didn't know that no. Thanks

{Ed001's Note - the thing is that these days scientists are so specialised in their particular field that they often aren't clued up on any other aspects. Hence why all these dire warnings came out about global warming, that soon got changed to climate change when it was pointed out that it wasn't actually warming up! They had found they could make so much more out of us by selling us things to prevent global warming, that they can continue to frighten us into buying to prevent climate change. Such as electric vehicles, when the materials in the batteries are mined in a process that causes more harm to the environment than every gas guzzling car on earth put together. They put the prices up on oil with frighteners about how it is running out, even though it isn't and even if it was, we can make perfectly good fuel oil from plant crops such as rape seed. That is why the government subsidised the rape seed crops in the first place. If you are frightened of something, not only will you do as you are directed in order to stay safe, but you will also pay through the nose for it too. Big business knows this, so they play on it by sponsoring scientific studies, which just happen to conclude things that help increase their profits.}

3.) Interesting. Ok thanks ed

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate, sorry got on my high horse then!}

4.) Not at all, made for a interesting read

{Ed001's Note - that's because you got the cut down, short version, rather than the full on rant!}

Long time reader, usually post on the football pages. Was just wondering if any one had any info on the governments new help to buy scheme? As in is it a good thing and what would be positives and negatives of it. Be grateful for input. Thanks

GD

1.) Personally I think there is going to be another crash and I would be very wary, don't forget the debt that we owe is still there, even with all the cut backs we are only paying the interest back, now if you have a very secure job and you are say a MP or a funeral director then go for it, seriously I have my doubts.

{Ed033's Note - it looks like it's possible to purchase a house with a 5% deposit rather than the usual 10% or higher but as you would then have to pay back 95% at interest, the total amount to pay back is more. If your heart is set on owning a house, then this could help people who can't get a mortgage because they can't find the initial 10% or more.

2.) Sorry but I got to flag this, Franky. MP or Funeral Director! hilarious buddy.

3.) Help to buy schemes are a disaster waiting to happen, especially if you are going to buy a new build. As new builds are sold over value, you will immediately be in negative equity. With interest rates increasing within the next 2 years, lenders will more then likely refuse to offer a new product when your existing deals ends, this is currently happening with shared equity schemes. The result is leaving you on svr which can raise at any time. If interest rates do increase by 1% you will be paying at least 6% if not more. Once this happens you will find more people default on their mortgage resulting a house price crash leaving those who are on a help to buy in even bigger negative equity. My advance as a cemap qualified mortgage adviser is to wait and save a bigger deposit. It gives you a bit more breathing space if things go belly up.

4.) Good advice red.

Excuse my ignorance ed but what is the deep state?

GD

{Ed033's Note - Here is a definition - A network of people usually in influential positions entrenched inside government, certain private companies, intelligence agencies, military and other governmental entities. The Deep State controls state policy behind the scenes, while the elected officials are merely figureheads.

Trump and the Group behind him seem to have been trying to replace certain Deep State people so the Group that Trump is part of can make policy instead.
