Jsean1989 -
Capital for those who have been convicted of rape, paedo crimes, and murders.

You can't have capital for rape and paedo crimes, as disgusting as these crimes are you can't have a situation where a criminal thinks he might as well kill their victim as they have a better chance of getting away with capital punishment.

Hi Spanner - it’s capital for all rape, paedo and murder.

So if they kill it’s still same punishment as doing the act in the first place. If that’s your argument that may as well go “all in” how would you deal with these crimes and criminals?

My wife is a psychologist and as much as she believes in rehabilitation she has yet to see concrete proof of paedos who have reformed, it similar to converting gays - it’s what they like so it’s always going to be what they need sexually plus it’s to do with power, control and fantasy. These are a lot more deep rooted than people think and 6 months in jail with a rehab specialist isn’t going to cut it hence the number of reoffending.

On another point raised by Lerchy re knife crime - why can’t a simple law of your caught with a knife you go straight to jail. Now the government is looking at spending £100m to spend on overtime for police officers!

Jsean, what would happen if a member of your family was wrongly convicted of a sex crime and was executed under your so called live and let live doctrine?

Also, why are you so terrified of gay people? And please tell us more about ‘converting gays’. You seem to have the inside track on this, so please expand on this method you seem to know so much about.

I really don't know, but I would invest in more prisons, but not the soft type we have now where prisoners have a cushy life with TV's, phones and workshops.
I don't care about the prisoner's human rights, prison should be a deterrent, not a holiday camp. If we have to overcrowd them to get dangerous people off the streets to keep the public safe, so be it.
I believe convicted pedophiles and rapist should be chemically castrated if ever released from prison.

Non-British nationals should be deported if they commit a serious crime.
Anyone with a knife gets an automatic 5-year sentence.
Go back to basics with police work, there is zero need for the amount of paperwork they have to do, they should be spending at least 80% of there job doing police work. There is enough police they just not doing police work due to the sheer amount of pointless paperwork.

Rian, your attention to my posts are greatly welcomed.

If my family were convicted of a sex crime, I would accept they should be removed from the face of the Earth. Family members have been convicted of lesser crimes and I didn’t go crazy with authorities decision. If they commit the crime, deal with the punishment.

I have no issues with gays, it was a reference to something which people have tried to inflict on that community and it’s proven largely unsuccessful. It was to support the argument that minds, sexual desires are something that are very difficult to change, thus the reoffending by individuals.

And as I said before, I have family members etc. who are LGBTI so I am not scared of them, thanks for caring. More, I am scared for what will be acceptable for when my kids are my age.
Please do try and read the typing. This was explained previously - acting like a numpty old bean and I wonder if you're part of the 80% in your pic.

Spanner, agree with prison set up and I have considered how would old fashioned chain gangs work. Hard labour, but helping communities?

It’s just a thought, but why should they have play stations, gyms, snooker halls. A relative recently liberated stated he would happily go back in because it was a laugh and got to play football, go to the gym and chill in peace!

Knife - agree
Deportation - agree serious crimes.

I find it unfair that our traditional values are all too quickly lost to accommodate others, but if we go there, our values are very much not considered. Dubai, Saudi as my two references point. When I travel, I adopt the culture of the country I am in and don’t enforce my beliefs, which I find the respectful thing to do. If I was going to live in another country, I would not pick one that did not accept my religion, beliefs, values etc. as it would be difficult to integrate, but that is what happened to Britain in my view.

Rian, sorry your post said “wrongly convicted” short answer it would be a kangaroo court and sentencing done on the back of a fag packet.

All death cases would need evidence to push for death penalty. To mitigate the accidental scenario - not always possible granted but it’s better than letting the stains of society walk the Earth AND helps reduce population numbers 👏

Two for the price of one.

Breathtakingly articulate and reassuring response 🙃.

Think it would be easier to attach the word serial to your post Jsean. As multiple offences would have multiple accounts of evidence.
