{Ed033's Note - It's about which agreement you're in. If you're solely in the 'P' Type Passport agreement, then they can decide what they want to do with you as per the agreement you're in.

I should imagine all sportsmen/ women and celebrities would have a type P also. But now you have mentioned it MPs? Who knows. As for me I don’t have a valid Passport. As far as I can see I would be better off obtaining a rigid raider head towards a Country I wish to go to and say I’m an asylum seeker from the Tyrannical British Government. I’m sure most European Countries would love to use that in their papers.
