What do you all make of the controversy regarding Nicolas Anelka's 'quenelle' gesture?

I saw a video where Roger Cukierman (head of Jewish organisation CRIF) described it as seeming to be anti-establishment rather than anti-semitic.

It will be interesting to see how the FA charge plays out, and if they take into account the comments of people such as Cukierman.

It seems like the FA has been pressured into taking action, despite a lot of people not really seeming to give a toss about it. Yes I have seen some complaining about it, but I've seen just as many saying the same as above.

{Ed001's Note - it is just a chance for them to show they are actually doing something, without actually doing anything.}

Talk about freedom of expression! If he gets something like an 8-10 game ban (which has been muted) that's absolutely crazy in my mind and I would be angry if I was him. To be fair I knew very little about the 'quenelle' gesture and it's history prior to last week, so will gladly be educated if my comments are way off the mark.

Harold

If he does get banned for that many games he will retire he already nearly retired until Clarke talked him out of it.

Is it just me that everyone goes ott when it is anything related to Israel /holocaust, now I will explain if anelka admitted he is no Jewish lover etc then fine ban him and from what I have read it's not a Nazi salute it's open to debate whether it's a insult or not, listen the amount if stick black players and Irish players have took from players and fans with nothing or a token fine is bewildering, it seems any other atrocities that have happened in the past is forgotten about but to me certain outlets are constantly looking for anything holocaust related, I will state I thought what Nazis done to normal Jewish people horrendous and disgusting but at the same time I do see anelka as a Nazi stormtrooper

I don't think many people would have taken much notice without someone pointing it out. It's not a fort balling issue as far as I'm concerned. He should maybe be fined and that's it as far as I'm concerned. What about when players draw the cross when they step into the pitch or score? What if that offends me?

I just think the Israelis have become experts at promoting their persecution fuelled propoganda as a result of the world's collective guilt over the holocaust.

Ryan.

Lukaku has called for the FA not to charge Anelka they now want Lukaku to step down from the anti-racism board, you can say whatever you want as long as its what they want you to say

I agree Ryan. is it not interesting that three quarters of the leaders of the Bolshevik revolution were Jewish (khazar) Zionists, which led to the murder of 66 million Russian Christians.
Not a mention of Holocaust or Genocide in the history books about such massive loss of live!

Don't break any jew laws and everything will be just and fine, shabbat shalom. pea

And the main one responsible for the Russian Holocaust was Stalin who was not Jewish and went to a seminary. I'm not sure that the majority of the deaths, in the Russian Holocaust, caused by one mans paranoia can be attributed to a Jewish conspiracy, especially when the same Jewish leaders of the revolution were amongst the biggest names killed in Stalins insane purges. It was Stalin who instigated collectivisation of the farms and liquidation of the Kulaks causing the famine, especially in the Ukraina. It was Stalin who decimated the command of the Red Army. Stalin who oversaw the NKVD carrying out 900 executions per day at the night of the purges. Yes Jews comprised a large portion of the Bolshevik party, because Russian Jews composed a large portion of the educated Russian middle class, and were most likely to be exposed to revolutionary tracts from abroad. A growing middle class that was sick of an autocratic Russia. Revolution had been coming for 20 years. There are rational explanations. If you want a Jewish conspiracy look at their role in the birth of Nazi Germany and the war.

The Jews and Nazis are one and the same. pea

{Ed001's Note - that is not even close to being true. The Nazis got the benefit of extensive Jewish funding, but they were not Jews.}

I've said before, follow the money, it leads straight back to certain parties in he States

Mort

Pea I'm so disappointed to hear you say that. I'm hoping that's not what you really meant.

Ryan.

I think pea was referring to Ashkenazi jews, the students of talmud and proponents of "zionism".
There was an investigation into the lineage of every person holding a position in the Greek parliament and they were all found to be descendants of Ashkenazi jews.
This was indirectly admitted by the former prime minister Papandreou where while addressing the parliament stated: "If being Greek was a matter of DNA then I wonder how many of us would be members of this parliament".

Yes they were and still are the same group. Who was the nazis "burnt offering" for? The same god that the jews worship, because they are the same people. pea

{Ed001's Note - that would not make them Jews, people can follow the same god/s without being the same religion.}

Indeed Jews, Christians and Muslims all follow the same god.
