Interesting. On a side note, not sure if I asked this question before but If the debt is over 6 years old is it legally enforceable? Allegedly I was overpaid for working tax credits by approx £2.5k. I phoned to query the claim and asked for which tax year it applied. When told it was for a year more than 6 years old, I replied thank you and hung up. I have never acknowledged the 'debt' but they continue to send me annual 'reminders' and have done for the 5 years since my telephone conversation.?

{Ed033's Note - Normal Debts are statute barred under the Limitations Act 1980 after 6 years. The Limitation Act 1980 only applies when no contact has been made between the creditor and debtor within the time limit and only applies to residents of England and Wales.

From what I can tell with my research all income tax after the building of the fleet to the defeat of the Spanish Armada is illegal.

I got back payments of a few grand due to their error in under paying me the wrong weekly premium.I got help from an advisor who told me my partner could have claimed carer allowance for 10 years. At the time I was told it would effect other benefits so I never bothered.When they looked at it I would have been entitled for the last 10 years but you can only claim back for 3 months!

The advisor told me not to bother applying for carers allowance as their's a couples premium i can get which is double the carers amount. Anyhow when I received the cash(they said to me on the phone are you sure you want it as having a few grand can be a bit overwhelming and stressful ??.

I said you take it and have a good time... In jest. So after I received it 1 week later a letter came for council tax arrears in my partners name from around 12 years ago.A few days later the next overpayment was for £1,700 family tax credit from 10 years ago.Next came another overpayment of 11 grand from tax credits.

Then a few days later council tax arrears for the last 2 years.I ignore the tax credits for now.I told council tax I can pay £5 weekly as the money I receive is to live on and not for debt payments.Also 2 years previous they had said they would take the council tax arrears from my benefits. When i mentioned that they said no payment was made. I explained Nobody informed me that the arrears weren't took (covid backlog etc was their excuse at not informing me. They asked have you any savings or have money?. Sorry I've none as the mrs was like a Kardashan for the weekend with the money i received. .

As soon as the system seen I got a few grand they steamed right in trying to recoup the cash.I even had a Sheriff Officer call when I was out. I called them and explained that it was a good job I was out as I would have bodily removed him over the garden gate!Is that a threat they asked?

No I explained it's what will occur if he darkens my door again. A few phone calls back & forward resulted in me telling them I have mental health issues/disabilities from different ailments (which I'm not using as an excuse) but you lot with your threatening letters/phone calls etc have me at the end of my tether with the Council Tax, Tax Credits/Over payments etc.

The next day 1 of the higher up departments asked if I'm happy enough to pay the £5 per week council tax arrears & I won't receive anymore calls/letters which I had already agreed to earlier in previous correspondence so drop the nicey nice patter now after the last few week's. Oversights miscommunication etc was next then finally an apology for the stress which I accepted but was close to telling her were to shove it.

The System is fecked and causes untold misery for many many of the disabled the unemployed & OAP's, folk who hit hard times due to no fault of their ownIf they had their way those sections of society would get nothing as to them were a drain on society as we don't contribute to their system.

{Ed033's Note - Thanks for sharing your experiences. People might think your above post is an extreme case with the system, but i think it's not extreme at all but likely to happen within the system.

i remember when you first started posting on our 2 'Glasgow rumours' sites, your posts couldn't be put up because it was all, insane anti Rangers crazy talk. But after a while your posts became normal Celtic mindset posts. So you did well to get your mind under control.

So, Ed033 what you are basically saying is that Pud is insane as he doesn't agree with your beliefs??? Now that he has 'Got his mind under control' then you will publish his posts? Disgusting.

{Ed033's Note - No i'm not saying Pud is insane. in a previous post on here Pud mentioned he got better from mental problems, all i was saying is that i witnessed this.

Crazy talk? Insane? I watched rangers go bust live on tv mate with millions of others after a CVA was rejected & rangers football club ceased to exist. A new club The rangers international football Club was gave a temporary licence to play their first ever cup game(There was mugs made to commemorate the event) The SFL accepted their application and they joined the lowest tier of Scottish football.After numerous threats we had the authority figure Stewart Regan say that some form of rangers is needed in the league's or there would be Civil unrest. The company went bust it wasn't the club was rolled out.

{Ed033's Note - Ok, in a previous post on here you mention you got better from mental problems, all i was saying is that i witnessed this in your original submitted posts on the 'Glasgow rumours' sites. My reply was positive, you interpreted it differently to what i intended.
