Hi not really posted in a while I just wanted to say ["Making a Murderer"] Brendan Dassey is going to be released, WOW. Steven Avery is still behind bars.

Not saying he did anything, but it seems like he isn't a full shilling that lad. He's probably the reason they both got sentenced! I wonder how Steven Avary took the news. Poor guy.

What are people's views on the whole Steven Avery case. I remember him being jailed in 2007 but until I recently watched Making A Murderer it seems most of the public are outraged at the lack of true evidence hence the Netflix docu drama. Surely there is enough for a re-trial .
{Ed007's Note - I'm on Episode 7 of it but I can't remember anything about it when it actually happened. I've fought the urge to do any reading up on it and at one point the other night I was actually in 2 minds whether it was real or just a drama based on real life because of the amount of video footage around it all - your post sorts that out then, cheers for that :( lol -
The entire story is absolutely bizarre and I'd advise anyone who hasn't seen it to make it top of their list, from what I've seen so far I have no doubts that Avery should be allowed a retrial.}

Sorry for the spoiler but only this Monday I read that the President himself was getting pressure to intervene. Only in America as the saying goes. Mind you it does remind me about the Guilford bombers trial of the 1970s.

There's loads of miscarriages of justices throughout history, even guilty people walking free. There's a local one to me, very local if I'm honest as I went to school with the girl victim and my family was friends with the both the victim's family and the accused guy's family. To everyone's shock he was found Not Proven on a murder charge back in the 90s and only recently the police have said they are pushing for a retrial after the double jeopardy rule in Scotland was axed.
One thing that always stuck in my mind about it all was that not long after the trial our parish Priest left quite suddenly after being there for many years, I think that being the Priest for both the families involved was too much for him and I always thought what if the accused had confessed to the Priest? He couldn't tell the police and yet he still had to help the victim's family through their loss including hosting the young girl's funeral Mass, how could he continue to console, help and give spiritual guidance to the family whilst having to hide what he had been told in the confessional AND having to give the same things to not just the accused guy's family but the accused guy himself?}

Has anybody seen the new Bigfoot video from Ohio. I think it may be a few weeks old but it is very convincing there is also one including a very scared day after a confrontation with an alleged beast. I know people say "It's a bloke in a suit" but I think one day soon a body will be found . :)
